My last family shoot was with Glen & Catherine, their gorgeous girl Luella & twin boys Max & Charlie. I have a three year old boy who is constantly on the move & who would much rather run around discovering things than have his photo taken. Max & Charlie were very much the same and their was way too much to discover at Canoe Point. That said I must admit I was pleasantly suprised how often we were able to get the boys to sit together especially for a few family shots. It was actually quite amusing at the time as Luella would be ready with her beautiful smile & the boys would be heading in different directions. But Glen & Catherine were very relaxed & I thoroughly enjoyed their sense of humour & easy going nature.

Jacque is a work mate & had a Family Shoot with me at the the start of the month. Knowing Jacque, Nick & Addison made it a little less stressful but I was still really nervous. But Jacque is such a cool, relaxed chick that it didn't take long for my nerves to disappear.

So it has taken me a while to post these on the blog & hopefully I can get some more images up soon as I am in catch up mode. 

After almost a year of working at Kellie Blinco Photography, Kellie asked me last month would I like to do some Lifestyle Shoots on my own. I was a bit hesitant at the start but then came to the conclusion I will never get better sitting in my cozy little comfort  zone. As a second shooter I don't usually have too much pressure on to set anyone up or look for my own positions - except for the occassional bridal party or kids club & even then I always know I have the back up of Kellie or Sam. So May it is!  Kellie quickly set up some dates & after a couple of bookings I knew there was no return from here! 

 My second sitting was with Crystal & her family.

My dear friend Inga came in & had a Kids Club Sitting for Isaac & Grace.Inga & I have been friends for many years & happily followed our husbands as they took jobs up in Darwin where we got into lots of mischief together (I will spare you the details & us!).  So I came back earlier from Darwin & not long after I did Inga & I found out we were both pregnant & only 3 weeks apart. So needless to say we have been through a lot as friends together and I have loved watching her kids grow!

Inga thought ahead & grabbed a few props for us including their rocking chair. Awesome idea Inga!

 Isaac is such an outdoors boy & totally loved runnning around the area in front of the studio. 

He grabbed some flowers of every colour that he could. 

 This is Isaac's little sister Grace. Isn't she just the cutest!?  

 Grace just followed Isaac everywhere & enjoyed going as fast as she could on the rocking chair. 

 So there are my little friends Isaac & Grace who will always have a special place in my heart!

Kellie & I had the absolute pleasure to be a part of Tove & Chris' wedding on the 17th of April 2010. 

 Tove was a real down to earth & fun bride to be around.

 I loved Tove's style as she sipped on her rum & just embraced having her family & friends around her.

 Chris & his Groomsmen wanted an even bigger element of suprise & only turned around at the last minute.

I love this picture with all the light behind them & those big smiles just kept on coming!

 After taking some shots of the Bridal Party I went over to where Kellie had Tove & Chris sitting on a rock in the pond. So while they enjoyed a quiet moment & I snapped a few from the side, I look over at Kellie who is fighting off a huge spider web just to get to where she wants to be. Honestly there is no limit to where that girl will go to get an 'amazing shot'. I was laughing too much & missed capturing it...not to mention I want to keep my job!

 This image isn't in the best light but once again it is a case of loving the surroundings as well as Tove's position & expression. 

Now that I have got the hang of 'blogging' (finally), I look forward to sharing more images and my ramble very soon from previous weddings & kids club sessions.
